Where To Go & What To Do

Guide to Mexico

For those of you planning on making your trip to Mexico a vacation, we have a few recommendations of places you can visit.

If you have plenty of time, the Yucatán Peninsula has a lot of things to see and do. If you are looking for a more authentic, less touristy area, we highly recommend Oaxaca.

Wherever else you are planning to go, Mexico City is also a great option to spend a few days before or after the wedding. It was recently named the “#1 World’s Most Exciting Destination in 2019” by National Geographic. It is also really close to the city of Puebla where you can go for one or two days.

On the linked pages, you will find a brief overview of these destinations, and if you have any comments or questions please feel free to ask!

If you’ve already had a chance to explore the locations listed above, other cool states to check out are Chiapas (as long as you don’t drive), Jalisco, Nayarit, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi, Baja California and Baja California Sur. Whatever you do, do not travel to the states of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Sinaloa and Tamaulipas.

If you’re planning to spend some more time in Cuernavaca or Jiutepec around the wedding, we also have some recommendations for you.
